Biocomposites completes deal with Swallow Dental Supplies

Biocomposites today announced successful completion of negotiations with Swallow Dental Supplies Ltd of Ilkley, UK., which gives Swallow exclusive distribution in UK for Biocomposites’ range of dental bone graft products.

UK biomedical company, Biocomposites, has developed a unique family of synthetic biomaterials, designed to regenerate bone tissue in a broad range of dental treatments.

Biocomposites’ Managing Director Stephen Bratt, said, "Many graft materials have been used by dentists to treat dental disease and to facilitate implant placement. Many of the products available today originate from animal tissue and can compromise patient safety. Biocomposites’ philosphophy is based on synthetically processed products to eliminate this risk.We have been conducting clinical studies for over two years and the results are excellent."

The deal also extends to overseas brokerage of the Biocomposites’ Fortoss® product range and Swallow Dental Managing Director, Dr. Paul Harrison added, "Swallow Dental has been keen for some time to access a range of bone graft products free from animal derived tissue. We have already received enquiries from European companies and we are confident of growing the products’ sales overseas."
