Clinical particulars

A male patient aged 68 presented with subtalar degenerative disease in the right foot, following an intra-articular calcaneal fracture.

Treatment

Allogran-R granular bone graft was placed at the subatalar joint, and an anterior to posterior screw insertion was performed using a partially threaded titanium cancellous screw.

Outcome

At 3 months post-operative, the patient reported a reduction in pain. Radiographic examination indicated integration of the graft material with new bone formation at the fusion site.

At 9 months post-operative, the patient reported uneventful healing. Further radiographic examination indicated significant absorption of the graft material and effective radiographic fusion at the site.
