The study aim was to demonstrate that the use of STIMULAN beads as a carrier material for vancomycin and tobramycin can lead to an increase in implant salvage in breast implant infections without the need for long-term postoperative IV antibiotics. The study included 12 patients of which the surgical team successfully salvaged 9 (75%) of the infected implants without continued use of IV antibiotics.
